Foldable Camping Bed
Upgrade from sleeping directly on your camp mattress at ground level to a raised foldable camping bed for additional comfort inside your tent.

Do I need to add any Kilimanjaro upgrades?
No. Your standard Kilimanjaro Hiking Tours package already includes the core mountain services, equipment and support required for your climb. The options on this page are optional extras for additional comfort, privacy or personal assistance.
Should I book Kilimanjaro comfort upgrades in advance?
Yes, where possible. Items such as camp beds, upgraded mattresses, single tents and portable toilets are subject to availability and require additional equipment or crew planning.
Adding upgrades before arrival also allows us to include the exact cost and arrangements in your written quotation.
Is a portable toilet included in my Kilimanjaro package?
This depends on your selected route and package. Portable toilets may already be included with certain KHT climbing arrangements, while on other climbs they are available as an optional upgrade.
Check your written quotation before adding a portable toilet so you do not pay for a service that is already included.
Can I add an extra porter to carry my daypack?
Yes. A personal assistance porter can be arranged to help carry your daypack throughout the trek, including the summit attempt.
This is different from an additional luggage porter, who provides extra camp-to-camp luggage capacity rather than personal daypack assistance while you hike.
Are camp comfort upgrades available on the Marangu Route?
Most camping upgrades such as private sleeping tents, camp beds and portable toilet tents are intended for Kilimanjaro's camping routes. The Marangu Route uses mountain huts, so these options are generally not applicable in the same way.
Can I add hotel, transfer or Arusha arrangements to my climb?
Yes. We can personalise your pre- and post-climb arrangements with hotel upgrades, additional private transfers or an Arusha start or finish where required.
These costs vary according to the hotel, route, dates and transport requirements, so they are quoted individually.
