While jogging can improve your fitness, it doesn’t fully prepare your muscles for the specific demands of a 7-day hike. To get ready, include regular hikes into your routine. Look for one or two day trails near you, with elevation changes and varied terrain. These hikes will help build the muscles you need. It will also mentally prepare you for the challenges of the climb.
